Felipe Jesus Consalvos

Felipe Jesus Consalvos (1891-196?) was an amazing collage artist/cigar roller. His unbelievably detailed art is truly remarkable:

and my personal favorite:

As a result, about a year and half ago i got one of his pieces tattooed on my arm (as seen on Dr. Dog's, We All Belong album). Unfortunately, I'm not one to post my tattoo's on the world wide web, but you can ask to see it in person anytime.

bulldog...more like bull-ogna

i was sifting through youtube, (as i often do) and found this little beauty. now, i've never played this new version of tony hawk's pro skater, but i do remember finding the original playstation 1 and tony hawk's pro skater 1 under my parents bed as they were hiding it from adam and i for christmas circa '98. needless to say, it's safe to assume that a dog is better than me at a video game. interesting.

unicorns

whenever i eat sit-in fast food, this happens: i'm not sure what part of my brain tells me that i need to take a drink of my beverage before i throw it away, but i'm literally never thirsty when i take part in this.

i went to get a check-up at the doctors today for the first time in about two years because i recently made the decision to take part in this whole monthly 'pay-too-much-for-health-care-crap.' anyways, picture Dan Aykroyd as your doctor; that's pretty much who my doctor is. awesome, yes.

i'd like to speak dolphin. or at least be able to understand them, because i bet they're not as happy as they look.

officially the worst thing a starbucks customer can do during morning rush = ask for milk (soy) in their oatmeal.

phrase of the week i'm sick of= "where did my summer go?!" ...it's still here and hot as crap.

i got asked to be a part of my friend Chris Alix's wedding. this is pretty exciting for me, seeing that i've never been 'in' or a 'part of' a wedding. weddings are great. i can't really pin point what i like about them, i just like them a lot. thanks Chris.

i saw from the freeway that Nickleback is playing (or did play) the Verizon Amphitheater, and i couldn't help but wonder how that band got so big. is there really that many douche bags just in california? i also saw that Aerosmith canceled. ha.

kittens would be cool if they didn't grow into cats.

any halloween costume ideas? i'm thinking about bringing back the nano baby. ?

In the Mausoleum

This video started my fondness for Beirut about a year and half ago. However, whatever the reason may be, i sometimes subconsciously forget how much i like this band. And this video (and many of their other video's on youtube) always reminds me of how talented this musical group really is. Take a gander if you will;
